PODIATECH all over the world
Between trade fairs and training courses, the Podiatech teams travelled the world at the end of 2023. Here's a look back at 4 busy months:
ASIE
Medical Fair 2023 - Bangkok - Thailand - Sept 23
Richard Serre, Laurent Vinter and Aymeric Grillon took part in the MFA international trade fair in Bangkok from 13 to 15 September, with the help of our distributors Otto Bock (Thailand) and Patco Investment (Vietnam) on the stand. The teams saw real interest in the concept of thermoforming directly under the foot.
The show enabled us to develop new partnerships in Malaysia and Singapore.
Training with Otto Bock - Thailand - Sept 23
For the second year running, we organised a 2-day training course for 20 Thai and Vietnamese orthoprosthetists at the Sirindhorm Medical Rehabilitation Institute in Bangkok (a benchmark in Thailand).
The training programme, given by Aymeric Grillon, covered thermoforming, raw materials and the addition of corrective elements.
EUROPE
SIDAS Spain - National Chiropody Congress - Barcelona - Oct 23
On 6-7th October 23, the National Podiatry Congress was held in Barcelona. This annual congress brings together distributors and professionals to discuss product developments and new products.
Our subsidiary SIDAS SPAIN was present on a bright PODIATECH stand to showcase our materials and equipment, the OPCT® Factory and a special focus on the PODOLAB Master and the new OPCT® range.
SIDAS UK - Liverpool Royal College of Podiatry's Annual Conference - Liverpool - Nov 23
The Royal College of Podiatry's Annual Conference and Exhibition is one of the largest podiatry events in Europe for podiatrists, podiatric surgeons and students.
The exhibition hall gave Podiatech UK the opportunity to present its new products and give live demonstrations to the speakers.
SIDAS UK streamlined its stand to focus on its core business: insoles. By showcasing a selection of OPCT® and the 3Feet Motion range, as well as live mouldings, this edition was one of the best ever for our subsidiary, with new customers signed up and an increase in the number of modules ordered for certain customers.
SWITZERLAND - APO Congress - Fribourg - Oct 23
PODIATECH and its Swiss distributor Kupfer Cuir were present in Fribourg on 26 and 27 October 2023 at the APO Congress (Swiss Association for Prosthetics and Orthotics).
With the largest booth at the congress (16m²), Stéphane Kupfer presented his leathers for the manufacture of orthopaedic shoes and Sébastien Balhand for PODIATECH presented the complete range of products for the manufacture of thermoformed foot orthoses (analysis tools, consumables and thermoforming equipment).
GERMANY - MEDICA - Dusseldorf - Nov 24
PODIATECH was present at the MEDICAD trade fair in Düsseldorf from 13 to 16 November 2023 with a stand in the "Choose France" pavilion with the help of Business France, which supports companies in their international development.
Over 40 contacts were made with distributors and direct customers in the orthopaedic, chiropody and prosthetics-orthotics networks in around 30 countries.
The show provided an opportunity to present 3 key stories:
- made-to-measure foot orthotics, with the presentation of the new OPCT® range,
- international launch of 3feet Motion
- Analysis
It's still too early to draw up an assessment of the show, but we can see good prospects for partnerships in countries that have not yet been exploited,and we're already looking forward to renewing our presence in 2024.

CANADA - QUEBEQ - Congrès AOPQ - Oct 23
Ce congrès organisé par l’Association des Orthésistes Prothésistes Québécois a réuni la très grande majorité des professionnels autour de conférences et de la visite des exposants.
L’occasion pour SIDAS de présenter sur ce marché bien particulier, à la fois les produits Podiatech, Sidas Health pro et Therm-ic avec un grand intérêt pour les gants chauffants de la marque.
